People depend on the jobs that a mine creates. They moved here to work. Then they had children, and their children had children. A society was built and the district took on its own life and its own value outside of the ore. Now people have to move again. The mining operation that formed the foundation of society is, at the same time, the power that pushes that society to its ruin, causing it to fall piece by piece into a hole.

A film that studies and reflects upon the connection between change, disappearance, and sorrow, between a society that is disappearing and sorrow over a person who has died. It is also a search for life and what gives existence a meaning.

Man är beroende av jobben som gruvan skapar. Man flyttade hit för att jobba. Sedan fick man barn, och de fick barn.
