When it comes to pictures in sexual education, it seems to be difficult to choose material that is representative of the subject of conversation. The most common pictures are anatomical illustrations of the genitals that describe where the various organs are located in relation to each other. If other pictures are found, it is often a question of whether they are morally correct, too unclear, or too old.

I believe there is a collision between the pictures used in school and other pictures that students meet with in their everyday lives, where it is difficult to find representative pictures for a question or speculation.

I want to study what the visual material looks like, and how it is used in school, and whether there are other ways to find representations for the questions and speculations that could be discussed and answered in sexual education.

Jag tror att det blir en krock mellan skolvärldens bilder och de övriga bilder som elever bemöts av i sin vardag där det blir svårt att hitta representativa bilder för en fråga eller en fundering.
Jag vill undersöka hur det visuella materialet ser ut och används i skolan och om det skulle kunna finnas andra sätt att hitta representationer för de frågor och funderingar som kan diskuteras och besvaras i sexualundervisningen.
