I’ve mainly used bodies lately. I use them as a metaphor for an antithesis to the logical thinking of the brain, something that I connect with the rejection of the painting. The fact that paintings are being more and more questioned as an artwork makes it interesting for me to work in a way where I’m analyzing the act of painting alongside the motives in the pictures. By investigating the intuitive process, I discovered that this could be an entrance to a working practice that exists on several different levels at the same time.

På senare tid har jag huvudsakligen använt kroppar. Jag använder dem som en metafor för en antites mot hjärnans logiska tänkande, något jag kopplar samman med förkastandet av måleriet. Det faktum att måleriet mer och mer ifrågasätts som konst gör det intressant för mig att arbeta på ett sätt där jag analyserar handlingen att måla tillsammans med motiven i bilderna. Genom att undersöka den intuitiva processen upptäckte jag att detta kan utgöra ingången till en arbetspraxis som existerar på flera olika nivåer samtidigt.
